At Industria Social, I built a WordPress theme from scratch for Structurall. I developed the interface in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and used PHP for the theme logic. The main requirement was to deliver a theme the client could personalize.
Requirement
Structurall needed a WordPress theme it could personalize to match its website requirements.
Implementation
I built the theme from scratch: HTML for structure, CSS for styling, JavaScript for interactions and PHP to integrate the logic with WordPress.
How it works
The theme combines the website presentation with the logic needed to integrate it with WordPress. I developed those layers from scratch using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
PHP and theme logic
PHP implements the theme logic within WordPress. This layer connects CMS-managed content with the website presentation; HTML defines the structure ultimately delivered to the browser.
Structure, styles and interactions
HTML organizes the page elements, CSS defines their presentation and JavaScript implements interface behaviors. I developed these layers from scratch as part of the custom theme.
Client personalization
Personalization was a requirement of the theme development. The implementation needed to let the client adapt its WordPress website while retaining the structure and logic of the theme I built.
