At HSBC I implemented and quality-checked around 60 tickets a month across 30+ enterprise and Innovation Banking sites, and built a Chromium extension that reduced errors by 80% for a team of 20+ developers, according to monthly audits. Before that, I led a three-person development and design team at a digital agency: 9 projects delivered and 3 ongoing accounts, including Original Penguin and Panda Express. Along the way I have built Shopify themes from scratch with a focus on performance and technical SEO.

What do I specialize in?
I am a senior web developer. I am strongest on the front end and in ecommerce, with React, Next.js, Astro and Shopify, and I also build the back end: Node.js and PHP, databases and deployment.
Do I work as a front-end or a full-stack developer?
Both. On the front end I work with React, Next.js and Astro; on the back end with Node.js, PHP and SQL databases. Each profile has its own page with the experience behind it.
What do I do with Shopify?
I customize themes, build sections, and integrate apps around each store’s needs. I have also worked on theme migrations, where I pay close attention to an orderly transition that keeps the store running.
Which technologies do I work with?
I use React and TypeScript for interfaces, and Astro or Next.js depending on what the site needs. Node.js and PHP cover the back end, Liquid covers Shopify, and for desktop applications I also work with Tauri and Rust.
Do I also handle performance and technical SEO?
Yes. I optimize load times with caching, image compression, lazy loading and fewer plugins, and I set up the technical side of SEO and analytics: Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Search Console, Open Graph metadata, sitemaps and structured data.
What kinds of opportunities do I consider?
Full-time roles, freelance projects, and contract work with agencies or development teams. To review a proposal I need the goal, the scope, and the role I would play; the sooner I know that, the sooner I can say how I can help.
Where am I based, and which languages do I work in?
I am based in Mexico City (UTC−6) and work remotely, including with companies and teams in the United States. Spanish is my native language; I also work in English (B1+), and I have an A1 level in German and Esperanto.
