Shopify Developer in Mexico City
I build Shopify stores and themes from scratch with Liquid, Tailwind and JavaScript, add the functionality each store needs, and maintain high-traffic stores for ongoing client accounts.
What I build
Themes from scratch
Five Shopify stores at Applabmx, built with Liquid, Tailwind, JavaScript, Git and Shopify CLI. Delivery cycles were about two months per store, with QA and corrections under Scrum sprints. At Rivka I built and maintained themes from scratch with Liquid, Tailwind CSS and JavaScript instead of relying on prebuilt commercial templates, managed in Git and GitHub.
Store functionality
Variants, metadata-driven functionality, menus, cart, search, and product and price filters, all responsive. At Rivka I added features to live stores with Liquid, metafields and Shopify CLI, respecting each store’s existing architecture.
Sections and landing pages
Components, custom sections and landing pages for clients such as Palmer’s, including an image gallery inside a Shopify blog post, with a focus on performance and technical SEO.
High-traffic stores and ongoing accounts
At Industria Social I built and managed high-traffic Shopify stores in Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript for accounts such as Original Penguin and Panda Express, and supported clients from requirements, estimates and proposals through deployment, training and support.
Theme upgrades and customizations
At Charlotte’s Web I upgraded the commercial Shopify theme to a new version: reviewed and compared sections across all pages, migrated settings and custom Liquid, CSS and JavaScript code, adapted styles and global variables, and delivered the theme in staging for full user workflow testing.
Third-party apps and maintenance
I integrated review, subscription and shipping apps, resolving conflicts between their JavaScript and the theme’s scripts and styles, and provided ongoing maintenance: bug fixes, JavaScript library updates and performance optimization.

Do I build themes from scratch or customize existing ones?
Both. Most of my recent store work has been themes built from scratch with Liquid, Tailwind and JavaScript, and I also add sections, filters and functionality to stores that are already live.
What store functionality can I implement?
Variants, metadata-driven features, menus, cart, search, and product and price filters, plus custom sections and landing pages. I also integrate third-party apps for reviews, subscriptions and shipping, and I work with Remix for Shopify apps.
Do I work with WordPress and WooCommerce as well?
Yes. For GroovePro I built two PHP WooCommerce plugins: shipping by products, bundles and dimensions, and custom bundles with prices based on cart quantities. I also developed the WordPress and Elementor website.
Can I handle the client side of a project?
Yes. At Industria Social I supported clients from requirements, estimates and proposals through deployment, training and technical support, while leading a three-person development and design team.
Can I upgrade a customized Shopify theme?
Yes. At Charlotte’s Web I upgraded the commercial theme to a new version, migrated section settings and custom code, adapted styles and global variables, and delivered the theme in staging for full user workflow testing.
