At Applabmx I integrated a wishlist app into Lerato’s Shopify theme and developed homepage sections. My contribution focused on these store features, using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Requirement

The store needed to integrate a wishlist app with the theme and develop homepage sections. My scope focused on connecting that functionality and building the assigned blocks.

Implementation

I integrated the existing wishlist app with the theme interface and developed homepage sections using Liquid, HTML, CSS, Tailwind and JavaScript.

The project had two parts: integrating wishlist functionality from an existing app and developing homepage sections within the Shopify theme.

  1. Connecting the app and theme

    I integrated the wishlist app with the storefront interface. The theme presents access points to the feature and the app provides wishlist management; my contribution was its integration within the website.

  2. Homepage sections with Liquid

    I developed the assigned homepage sections within the Shopify theme. Liquid connects content to HTML markup, while CSS and Tailwind define the blocks’ presentation.

  3. Interface and change integration

    JavaScript participates in theme interface behaviors. I used Shopify CLI for development and Git and GitHub to integrate modifications with the team’s work.
