Front-end development
Front-End Developer in Mexico City
I build the part of a website that people actually use: interfaces, landing pages and components in React, Next.js and Astro, written to be fast, responsive and easy for other people to update.
What I build
Components and interfaces
React components for compliance content, casino and game rules, and promo codes at 10Bet Latam, plus custom sections and components for Shopify stores.
Landing pages at scale
More than 30 landing pages for Mexico, Africa and Europe in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and landing pages for ecommerce clients such as Palmer’s.
Content that is updated once
Terms and conditions centralized in a Node.js API so a change is made in one place instead of on every page, and HTML email templates for weekly campaigns and for the launch of 10Bet Mexico’s online casino.
Tools for other developers
At HSBC I built a JavaScript Chromium extension for DOM searches, saved item paths and checking the development and quality-control steps of each ticket. It reduced errors by 80% for a team of 20+ developers, according to monthly audits.
Performance and technical SEO
At Brainfood Marketing I improved load times and Core Web Vitals on WordPress sites with caching, image compression, lazy loading and fewer plugins, and set up Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Search Console, Open Graph and Twitter Cards metadata, sitemaps and Schema.org JSON-LD.
Scripts for sites I do not control
At Stitchers.Space I deployed vanilla JavaScript (ES6+) ad scripts on high-traffic streaming and niche content sites. I used Chrome DevTools to find stable CSS and XPath selectors and injection points, MutationObserver and asynchronous loading to cope with site changes and conflicts, and tested across browsers and mobile devices.

How I work
- I deliver in Scrum sprints, with QA and corrections included in each delivery rather than added afterwards.
- I coordinate with international design, marketing and development teams and keep every change versioned in Git.
- I build with performance and technical SEO in mind from the first template.
See it in practice
Front-end
Questions about my front-end work.
Which front-end technologies do I use?
React and Next.js for applications, Astro for content sites, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and Sass for styling, and Liquid for Shopify storefronts. I have also worked with Webflow, WordPress and Sitecore.
Have I worked on large or high-traffic sites?
Yes. At HSBC I handled around 60 tickets a month across more than 30 enterprise banking sites, and at Industria Social I built and managed high-traffic Shopify stores for ongoing accounts such as Original Penguin.
Do I only work on the front end?
No. I also write back-end code, including Node.js APIs, PHP and SQL databases, which is why I describe myself as a full-stack developer too. The full-stack page covers that work.
Can I help improve an existing site instead of starting from scratch?
Yes. At Industria Social I maintained ongoing client accounts as well as delivering new projects, and at HSBC my work was implementing changes across sites that were already live.
Do I work on performance and Core Web Vitals?
Yes. I have improved load times and Core Web Vitals with caching, image compression, lazy loading and fewer plugins, and I build templates with performance in mind from the start.
