At Applabmx I developed homepage sections, the gallery and collection pages for the Exclusive Iron Doors website. I implemented filtering logic using Shopify metafields and integrated a wishlist app into the theme.

Requirement

The scope included presenting the catalog in collections, implementing filters based on product metadata and connecting the interface to a wishlist app. I also developed homepage sections and the gallery.

Implementation

I developed theme views with Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, used Shopify metafields as the basis for collection filtering logic, and integrated the wishlist app with the storefront interface.

The development combined catalog presentation with two features: filtering products using their metafields and accessing the wishlist app from the Shopify theme.

  1. Metafields as filter data

    Shopify metafields hold custom fields associated with products. I implemented collection filtering logic using these values as criteria, rather than relying only on the visible text in catalog cards.

  2. Collection interface

    Liquid connects the view to the Shopify catalog; HTML and CSS structure and present the controls and products. JavaScript participates in the filtering interface behavior within the theme.

  3. Wishlist integration

    I integrated an existing wishlist app with the theme interface. My work connected that functionality to the store; the integrated app handles the wishlist itself.

  4. Homepage and gallery

    I developed homepage sections and the gallery as theme views using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The gallery presents images, while collections organize the product catalog.
